North Hills Signal Processing Secures AS9100:2004-1 Upgrade
for its’ ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Syosset, NY (December 13, 2007) - - North Hills, a division of Porta Systems Corporation, announces the achievement of ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004-1 certification for its quality management systems and processes. 

Product safety and quality control require special attention when building a product for something as sophisticated as an airplane or space vehicle.  AS9100 represents the first international effort to formulate a quality management system standard for the complex, competitive, and highly regulated aerospace industry.

ISO is an internationally recognized reference for quality requirements in business-to-business services.  ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive of the approximately 13,000 ISO standards and is a model for quality assurance in design, development, production, installation, and servicing.  To win certification, North Hills successfully completed an independent Quality Audit for Quality Management System Registration of the EN ISO 9001:2000, BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and ANSI/ASQ Q9001:2000 standards.
